Principal and Teachers
Indigo is an Oak Grove School District school of choice founded on a constructivist teaching, parent participation, and positive discipline approach to learning.
With an equity focus, our students are active participants in the learning process. They are engaged with curiosity, inquiry, discovery, and making connections. They collaborate, communicate and reflect with our standards based curriculum.
Partnering with parents allows us to bring in the strengths of this important part of our school community. Our parents share interests, talents, and time to add to a rich educational experience.
Our positive discipline approach helps students feel safe and nurtured as they learn, grow and achieve. Our students work on solutions with mutual respect, empathy, cooperation, and gain life skills that go beyond the classroom.
Indigo is a special place where students, teachers and families work together to make education a community passion. As we come up on our 20th anniversary, we celebrate our wonderful community and the great work we have done together. From this strong foundation, we continue to help our students make a positive impact in today’s world.
Sincerely,
Nasreen Husain
